Ballet dancer, ballet master, choreographer
András Nádasdy graduated from the Hungarian Dance Academy with a degree in ballet in 1989 and later returned to earn another as a répétiteur, which he completed in 2005.
His teachers were Jenő Gál, Ferenc Behumi and Tamás Koren. Starting in 1989, he spent 25 years as one of the Hungarian State Opera's ballet artists, making guest appearances in Mexico, China, Canada, Portugal, Austria, Greece, Japan and elsewhere as a member of the Hungarian National Ballet. During his dancing years, he ran a private dancing school and also worked as a choreographer and artistic director. He joined the Budapest Ballet as a choreographer's assistant in 2003 and became its artistic director in May 2005. He has served as an Opera Ambassador since September 2015. In recent years, he has choreographed the opening dances for the Opera's balls and galas.
