Roberto Alagna and Aleksandra Kurzak

The love-couple: the artists met in 2012 at the Royal Opera House in London performing Donizetti's 'Elixir of Love'. Since then, they form an emblematic pair on stage as well as in private life, described by critics as "a love that flourishes and sings, a lovely duet, a real treat for both eyes and ears".

Roberto Alagna's repertoire comprises more than sixty operatic roles including lesser-known repertory, via productions, concerts and recordings he championed. Over three decades, driven by his immoderate passion for opera, he was acclaimed in the greatest venues and festivals worldwide, from Metropolitan Opera to Vienna State Opera, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden etc. Alagna's discography is as impressive and eclectic as his genuine love for voice. Exclusive artist with EMI 1993–2004, with Deutsche Grammophon 2005–17 and currently with Sony Classical, he is a highly successful recording artist and appears widely on DVD.

Born into a musical family, the internationally praised Polish Soprano Aleksandra Kurzak began her musical education at the age of 7 studying violin and piano and received a PhD in 2009. Excelling in both coloratura and lyric roles, she is appearing at the world's most prominent scenes, such as Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Teatro Alla Scala, Opera de Paris, Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State Opera etc. From 2010 she was an exclusive artist with Decca Classics. In 2017 she signed a new exclusive contract with Sony Classics.
